Mission before machinery
Start with the operational outcome, then choose the architecture and tools.
About TAPS
TAPS Systems is a government-focused software company building accessible mission systems.
Mission
TAPS builds accessible systems that help people learn, decide, coordinate, and deliver services. We pair the speed of a focused technical team with the engineering controls required for dependable software.
The name reflects the work: Training, Automation, Programming, and Simulation.

Start with the operational outcome, then choose the architecture and tools.
People with disabilities are part of the user base from day one.
Reduce uncertainty through demonstrable progress and frequent feedback.
Communicate tradeoffs, constraints, and technical debt directly.
Use tools to improve quality, consistency, and delivery speed.
Document decisions and design for long-term ownership.
Adam is an engineering leader with more than 15 years of experience shipping production software and interactive experiences. His background spans web platforms, immersive systems, technical leadership, and AI-enabled development.
He served as solution architect, lead developer, and primary technical owner for Moth+Flame's READY BOSS. A four-person team built the working system in one week and won the 2020 I/ITSEC Iron Dev competition overall. Read the case study.
TAPS was formed to apply that experience to government missions where accessibility, reliability, and clear operational outcomes matter.
